At present, the autumn acacia worm has arisen and caused local damage in most of the maize growing provinces nationwide, according to the report of the Provincial Plant Protection and Cultivation Department nationwide to July 12 / 2019, the total area of harmful autumn acacia pests on summer-autumn corn nationwide is 14,893 ha, heavily infected 1,254 ha, the control area is 7,227 ha. The provinces heavily infected with this worm are Son La, Dien Bien, Lang Son, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Ninh Binh, Dong Nai, Dak Lak, Nghe An. The level of damage and rapid spread of acacia has been strongly warned and directed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in recent years.
